Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), announced his endorsement of Chedrick Greene for the Michigan Senate. This endorsement is part of the NDRC’s Democracy Defenders program, a campaign supporting candidates running for state-level offices critical to safeguarding and strengthening democracy.

Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the NDRC, released the following statement endorsing Chedrick Greene for the Michigan Senate:

“The stakes of this special election are incredibly high, and will determine whether the Michigan Senate majority will remain focused on the needs of the people or slip back towards a party that embraces an anti-democracy agenda. If elected to the state Senate, Chedrick Greene will fight for all Michiganders, just as he has fought to protect his community and our country throughout his career—as a fire captain and a U.S. Marine veteran. Chedrick’s record of service stands in stark contrast to his opponent, who will be just another rubber stamp for an extreme MAGA Republican, special interest agenda. The choice is clear: vote to elect Chedrick Green to the Michigan Senate on May 5.”
