Eric Holder Announces Endorsements for Ohio Governor, Secretary of State, and Auditor of State
Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), announced his endorsement of Amy Acton for Ohio Governor, Allison Russo for Ohio Secretary of State, and Annette Blackwell for Ohio Auditor of State. These endorsements are part of the NDRC’s Democracy Defenders program, a campaign supporting candidates running for state-level offices critical to safeguarding and strengthening democracy. The full list of endorsements can be viewed HERE.
“Over the past decade, Ohio Republicans have shamelessly sidestepped voter-approved redistricting reforms and court orders to impose some of the worst gerrymanders in the country. This November, Ohioans have an opportunity to elect pro-democracy candidates to three key statewide offices that sit on the Ohio Redistricting Commission,” said Eric H. Holder Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC). “Amy Acton, Allison Russo, and Annette Blackwell are three dedicated public servants who will be the fair-minded voices Ohioans need and have been demanding. The time of enforced one party rule is over. I’m proud to support these Democracy Defenders and urge Ohioans to vote for them this November.”
