Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), released the following statement in response to Democrats winning trifecta control in Pennsylvania:

“Congratulations to Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Democrats on winning full control of state government. Pennsylvanians gave their governor and a Democratic legislature the power to deliver on the issues that matter to them, including lowering costs, raising the minimum wage, and standing up to protect democracy. In the face of grave, ongoing threats to our democracy, now is not the time for Democrats to sit on the sidelines. Voters are demanding that their leaders take bold action to meet the moment, use the power they have entrusted to their elected leaders to level the playing field, and protect the voting power of the American people.”
