March 13, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), announced his endorsement of Dan Goughnour for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. This endorsement is part of the NDRC’s Democracy Defenders program, a campaign supporting candidates running for state-level offices critical to safeguarding and strengthening democracy.

Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the NDRC, released the following statement endorsing Dan Goughnour for the Pennsylvania House:

“The fight for democracy is unfolding in the states, and this election will determine whether the Pennsylvania House majority remains pro-democracy or if it slips back toward MAGA extremism. Pennsylvanians deserve leaders who will serve the people—not powerful special interests. From keeping his community safe as a police officer to ensuring kids get a good education as a member of the local school board, Dan Goughnour has dedicated his life to serving the city of McKeesport. I know Dan will continue to put his community first as State Representative, because that is what he has always done throughout his career. Be sure to get out and vote for Dan Goughnour for State Representative on March 25.”
