Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), announced his endorsement of former Georgia state Senator Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin for the Georgia Supreme Court. This endorsement is part of the NDRC’s Democracy Defenders program, a campaign supporting candidates running for state-level offices critical to safeguarding and strengthening democracy.

Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the NDRC, released the following statement endorsing Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin for the Georgia Supreme Court:

“This election is critical to building a fair-minded, independent state supreme court and restoring Georgians’ fundamental rights after years of a majority that has abdicated its responsibility to serve as the last line of defense for these freedoms.

“In Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin, Georgia voters have two fearless leaders who have dedicated their careers to fighting for Georgians in the courtroom. Their records stand in stark contrast to those of their opponents, who are among the most extreme, anti-rights justices on the bench.

“Georgians cannot afford to sit this one out. I urge Georgians to vote to elect Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin to the Georgia Supreme Court on May 19.”
