Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), announced his endorsement of Meg Luger-Nikolai for the Minnesota House of Representatives. This endorsement is part of the NDRC’s Democracy Defenders program, a campaign supporting candidates running for state-level offices critical to safeguarding and strengthening democracy.

Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the NDRC, released the following statement endorsing Meg Luger-Nikolai for the Minnesota House of Representatives:

“The threat to fundamental freedoms we have seen in Minnesota and across this country, including inappropriate, violent tactics employed by out-of-control federal immigration law enforcement agents in the state, demands elected leaders who will fight to protect the rights of the citizens they serve. Meg Luger-Nikolai is exactly the kind of leader Minnesotans want and need in the legislature. Throughout her career as a labor lawyer, Meg has fought against special interests and for the people in her community by defending workers’ rights, strengthening public schools, and standing up for Minnesota families. If elected, Meg will always put her community first and fight to protect the fundamental rights of her constituents. This is a critical election. On January 27, vote to elect Meg Luger-Nikolai to the Minnesota House of Representatives.”
