Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), released the following statement on the election of NDRC-endorsed candidate, Jim Prokopiak, to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, which will help secure a state House majority for Democrats:

“Once again, Pennsylvanians have sent a clear message at the ballot box: they want a strong democracy and the rights that should come with it. I’ve always said that when the maps are fair and competitive, Democrats will do just fine, and that’s exactly what happened in this election in Pennsylvania.
