Eric Holder Statement on Pennsylvania Supreme Court Election Results

November 4, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), released the following statement in response to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court election results:

“This victory demonstrates that an engaged citizenry is more powerful than the billionaires and special interests. By retaining Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht, voters in Pennsylvania have protected their highest court’s independent, fair-minded majority and ensured that fundamental freedoms will continue to be protected. I want to congratulate these esteemed justices on their important victories and all Pennsylvanians for showing the country that we—the people—can protect our democracy as long as we stay engaged and participate in the electoral process.”
