“Virginians sent a clear message that they want leaders who will take action to defend democracy and safeguard fundamental freedoms. By re-electing a pro-democracy majority to the House of Delegates, voters have ensured that Virginia can continue its efforts to fight back against Trump’s mid-decade gerrymandering crisis. The country should take notice: Virginia is a testament to the fact that when the people participate in democracy, they have the power to defend it.”
