In Ohio, we are focused on the governor, Secretary of State, State Supreme Court, and Auditor races because of their direct roles in the Ohio Redistricting Commission and the broader administration of elections and redistricting oversight.
Target Races
In Ohio, the Governor serves on the redistricting commission and signs or vetos any maps passed by the legislature.
In Ohio, the Secretary of State is a voting member of the Redistricting Commission and also oversees election administration.
In Ohio, the Auditor is a voting member of the Redistricting Commission.
In Ohio, the court is the final arbiter of whether Ohio’s maps comply with the state constitution’s anti-gerrymandering provisions.
