Nevada

Nevada is a fast-growing, politically competitive state where Democrats currently hold trifecta control (when a single party has total control of the governorship and both chambers of the state legislature). Nevada’s map-drawing process ended in November 2021, when Governor Steve Sisolak—a fair maps champion whose election we supported in 2018—approved fair congressional and state legislative maps passed by the Nevada Legislature.

We are targeting Nevada again this fall: the governor, secretary of state, state Senate, and state House. Simply put, we must 1) protect the legislative majorities we helped secure in the state Senate and House, and 2) help re-elect officials who have proven their commitment to drawing fair maps, such as Governor Sisolak. We are also supporting Cisco Aguilar, a pro-democracy candidate for secretary of state who will protect voting rights and our elections.
