Washington, D.C. — Today, Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), issued the following statement announcing his endorsement of Heather Boyd for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s May 16 special election to fill the vacated seat representing the 163rd House District: 

“Heather Boyd is a dedicated public servant who will protect the rights and freedoms of all Pennsylvanians. In the Pennsylvania General Assembly, she will be a strong advocate on issues important to her constituents: keeping communities safe, protecting reproductive rights, improving education, and ensuring the Commonwealth remains a place where democracy is not only safeguarded – but strengthened. At this critical moment, when extremism has to be defeated, voters in Pennsylvania’s 163rd House District must make their voices heard on May 16 and elect Heather Boyd to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.”
