What You’ll Do

  • Team Coordination: You’ll be in charge of keeping the department running smoothly with operational support, such as preparing meeting agendas, maintaining meeting minutes, and managing the team calendar.
  • Production Support: You’ll play an important role in the production and quality assurance of SMS and email, including shepherding the team’s approvals process. 
  • Systems Management: You’ll take the lead on creating and maintaining content tracking systems, supporting expense tracking and invoicing and billing requests. 
  • Project Management: You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of assigned projects, from drafting to final implementation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with an ability to juggle several projects and deadlines at once.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders and other departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who can take initiative and direction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with EveryAction or a similar CRM system.
  • Familiarity with ActBlue.
  • Prior experience in fundraising or digital marketing.
  • Prior experience as an intern or full-time fundraising staff on a local, statewide or federal campaign, at a PAC, non-profit, or political organization.

Other Information

  • Location: This position is approved for remote work. The team currently operates remotely, with occasional travel for in-person meetings, team retreats, etc. The organization has a physical office located in downtown Washington, DC that local staff are welcome to work from.
  • Salary: This is an entry level position with an annual salary of $56,175.
  • Benefits: Paid time off, immediate access to the organization’s 401(k) program with a 4% match, health care, dental and vision coverage, along with a stipend for cell phone use.
  • Travel: Some national travel and attendance at staff retreats is expected.
  • Affiliate Structure: NDRC is affiliated with the National Redistricting Action Fund (NRAF), a 501(c)(4) organization, which is affiliated with the National Redistricting Foundation (NRF), a 501(c)(3) organization. Payroll and benefits are administrated via NRAF.

This is a fully remote position with the possibility to work from the office if the intern resides within the DMV area. Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an intern to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the intern is regularly required to effectively communicate. The intern may be required to sit or stand in a stationary position 50% of the time. This position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment. The NDRC adheres to ADA compliance and guidelines as a common practice.
