Washington, D.C. – Today, John Bisognano, President of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, released the following statement in response to Governor Tony Evers vetoing another Republican attempt to gerrymander: 

“Once again, Wisconsin Republicans tried to push through a GOP gerrymandering scheme – and once again, they have been stopped. Similar to putting forward a so-called ‘reform’ with loopholes, changing district lines to protect incumbents rather than protect the voters is just another form of gerrymandering. Governor Evers did the right thing today to stop the partisan games coming out of the Republican-led legislature and protect the voters.”
