NDRC Responds to Lawsuit Challenging Wisconsin’s Gerrymandered State Legislative Maps

Washington, D.C. – Today, John Bisognano, President of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), released the following statement in response to the legal challenge against Wisconsin’s gerrymandered state legislative maps: 

“For more than a decade, Wisconsinites have been reduced to voting on some of the most egregiously gerrymandered state legislative maps in the country. As a result, they have been denied representation in their state legislature that reflects the will of the people. This challenge is a step toward justice for the voters and a more representative democracy for the state.”
