Eric H. Holder, Jr. Endorses Commissioner Steve Sisolak for Governor of Nevada
Washington, D.C. — Eric H. Holder, Jr., the 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chair of the NDRC, today endorsed Commissioner Steve Sisolak for Governor of Nevada and joined Sisolak for campaign events in the state. In addition to Holder’s visit, the NDRC announced an investment totaling $500,000 to support Democrats in state and local races.
“This fall, the people of Nevada face a choice about their future, ” said Eric H. Holder, Jr. “Steve Sisolak will ensure public schools have the funding they need for our kids to succeed, expand access to affordable health care, and protect DREAMers by standing up to the current administration’s inhumane immigration policy. I’m proud to endorse Steve Sisolak, and I’m confident he has the experience and the vision to bring Nevadans together.”
While campaigning in Nevada today, Holder attended a criminal justice reform event with Sisolak, as well as a fundraising event for the Sisolak campaign and a meeting with members of at the Nevada State Senate. He also attended a fundraiser for Steven Horsford, candidate for Nevada’s 4th Congressional District.
The National Democratic Redistricting Committee’s $500,000 investment in Nevada includes $250,000 to the Nevada State Democratic Party.
Nevada is one of the NDRC’s Electoral Target States in 2018.
